On the morning of 13th August, ASI Shakuntala called and informed that a dead body was lying in Singhani. When they reached the spot, the face was burnt. The condition of the, dead body was pathetic. After this, SDM and DSP came, they had assured, to make arrests within 24 hours. But no arrest has been made till now. If the police had cooperated on time, Manisha would have been among us today and the culprits would have been caught.
Mama said- Police employees should be suspended: He said that SP has assured that action is being taken. But no action is being taken. Our demand is that the staff posted at Dial 112 at that time (11.08.2025) and the employees of Loharu police station should be suspended. The accused should be arrested. After this, the body will be cremated.
Body found 8 kms away from home on 13th August: According to Loharu police, on Wednesday morning, a farmer who came to the field near the canal in Singhani village saw the body of a young woman lying there. Her neck was cut. The body was of Manisha. This place is about 8 kms away from Manisha's village Dhani Laxman. Police investigation has revealed that Manisha was last seen going towards Kharkadi road. This is the road of Manisha's play school and nursing college. There is a distance of about one and a half kms between the play school and the nursing college. It is suspected that she might have been kidnapped in the meantime.
Two theories of police investigation...Kidnapped on the way and kept somewhere: SHO Ashok Kumar says that looking at the body it seems that Manisha was murdered on the night of 12-13 August or on the morning of 13 August. Whereas she went missing on 11 August. This suggests that she was first kidnapped and kept somewhere. If the murder had happened on 11 August, the body would have started rotting and there would have been a foul smell. Police is not denying the theory of kidnapping and murder.
The murder happened somewhere else, the body was dragged and thrown: According to the initial investigation of the police, Manisha was not murdered at the place where her body was found. Because no such evidence was found which could make one believe that Manisha was murdered here. There is a possibility that the murder was committed at some other place. At the place where the body was found, there are also marks of dragging. Which suggests that Manisha was dragged from the road.
Manisha's maternal uncle Kuldeep said that Manisha used to do a part time job in a kids play school. She came out from there at 1:58 am on 11th August. From here she went to Ideal School and College, located one and a half kilometers away, for admission in B.Sc. Nursing. The school and college are in the same place. After this, there was no trace of the girl. At 6:26 am, a call came to her father Sanjay from Manisha's phone.
Father reached college with police, refused to show CCTV: He told that after this he called back after just 10 seconds. But the phone was not picked up. After this the phone got switched off. As soon as Sanjay came to know that his daughter was in trouble, he took a bus from Loharu to Singhani. After reaching there he called on Dial 112. After calling, the Dial 112 team reached the spot and went to Ideal School and College. There they were asked to show the CCTV. But they refused and said that the girl did not come here.
The college management said that they will show the CCTV when the principal arrives: After this ASI Shakuntala reached the college, but she was also not shown the CCTV. It was said that the principal will come on 13th August, after that it will be shown. After that the CCTV has been tampered with.
The family was ill-treated at the police station: Uncle told that the policemen came back after meeting the college students and left Sanjay back at the village Singhani. The policemen from Dial 112 told him to go to Loharu police station and get an FIR registered there. After that Sanjay went to the police station, but no FIR was registered there. The FIR was registered on 12th August at 7:30 pm. When he went to the police station, he was ill-treated there. The policemen said that your daughter must have gone somewhere for a picnic. She must have gone with someone.
Sanjay, a resident of village Dhani Laxman, has 3 children. His eldest daughter Manisha used to teach in a play school. She was helping the family with this small job. Every day Manisha used to return home by school bus. But on 11th August, the day of her disappearance, she did not return home by school bus. Then the family's concern grew and the family went to the police but FIR was not registered. If action had been taken on time, her life could have been saved.
