Mass Evacuation of Stranded Tourists in North Sikkim Begins: Over 1,200 Rescued | News9

The evacuation of more than 1,200 tourists stranded in North Sikkim since June 12-13 commenced on June 17. Troops of Trishakti Corps are significantly aiding the civil administration in accelerating the relief operations. Due to numerous landslides, tourists are being moved both on foot and by vehicle wherever possible.
