A speedrun of the Normal 1.1 mode using the Standard ruleset, aiming to get as high of a grade as possible as quickly as possible.

In the newest game in the Tetris the Grand Master series, there are multiple different game modes that you can play using 2 different rulesets: TGM (ARS rotation system) and Standard (SRS rotation system). Here we will be playing the Normal 1.1 game mode using the Standard ruleset where the goal is to get to level 999 as quickly as you can while also getting the highest grade you can.

So with the latest version update (v2.1.1 as of this video's upload) of this game, all game modes can now be played using both rulesets. This means that all the Normal modes in the game are no longer exclusive to the TGM ruleset, and the Marathon/Sprint/Ultra modes are no longer exclusive to the Standard ruleset. A wonderful update for this game indeed as now all players that are used to one ruleset over the other can play all the game modes. For this run, we get well beyond the score requirement for the GM grade (280,000) but fall quite short of the time requirement (level 999 in 8:55). If only I could combine meeting the score requirement of this run with meeting the time requirement of my fastest completion of this mode using the TGM ruleset, then we would have the GM grade for this mode.
