We now have a solid skill build covering the basics. Because Stage 3 is very spaced out, I chose to put the next few points into Ice up mastery and Egg return. The other options - Firerain mastery and Fire damage - are better suited for narrow maps.

[[1]] Fire dragons are your only source of AOE in early levels. I like to use them for taking down mobs at the 'bottleneck' of each map or on corners.
[[2]] +1 Extra eggs as it is only 1000 coins. It is basically an 'extra life'. The second egg costs 3000 so we will be taking that later.
[[3]] +4 Food value allows you to place 2 dragons of 2 kinds at the start - to fill up High Points and Mana Pools, eg. 2 ice and 2 fire dragons. It is a good idea to fill up all Mana Pools before forwarding to the first mob.
[[4]] +1 Egg return starts a timer on each egg that has been touched, allowing you the chance to return it to the lair. If you time your mana spells well (eg. Ice Up to freeze enemies where your dragons are the strongest, and before they reach the egg) you will not lose any eggs.
[[5]] Gives a 150% boost to your ice dragons' burst damage.
[[6]] I increase Mana pool every time I find myself in a level sitting with max mana with nowhere to use it on (without wasting it). It is a cheap upgrade, and you should always have your mana regenning -- try to never let it sit on max.
[[7]] Egg return is especially important in Stage 4. In the later levels I have a lot of close calls towards the right side, where the lair is closer to the exit. A trick is to use Ice up to freeze mobs inside the lair, RIGHT after they pick up an egg; this starts the timer running while the egg is still in the lair, and allows a faster return when the egg is actually taken outside of the lair.
[[8]] I find Ice up is more useful than Firerain in maps like these, but feel free to take either spell.
