In today's episode, I’m taking you on a journey that is much more than just a road trip. It is a journey between two completely different mindsets. We start in the peaceful, high-altitude capital of Thimphu, Bhutan, and make our way down to the plains, crossing the iconic Phuentsholing-Jaigaon border to finally reach my new home base in Guwahati, Assam.

🇧🇹 Leaving the Land of Happiness
The journey begins in Thimphu, a city where there are no traffic lights and where "Civic Sense" is a way of life. I’ll show you the final moments of my stay in the Bhutanese capital before we head south toward the border. The discipline on these roads is something every traveler needs to experience—it’s quiet, respectful, and incredibly organized.

⛩️ The "Border Shock": Bhutan vs. India
The highlight of this video is the moment I walk through the Bhutan Gate. It is perhaps the only place in the world where you can experience a total "culture shock" in just one single step.

On the Bhutan side (Phuentsholing): Silence, no-honking zones, strict pedestrian rules, and traditional architecture.

On the India side (Jaigaon): An explosion of energy, the sound of a thousand horns, bustling markets, and the raw, organic chaos of an Indian frontier town.

I’ve spent a lot of time traveling, but the "Civic Sense" gap at this specific gate always leaves me with deep questions. Why does everything change the moment we cross a line on a map? We’ll dive deep into the ground reality of this transition.

🇮🇳 Reaching Guwahati
After the intensity of the border, we hit the highways of West Bengal and Assam. This trip ends in Guwahati, where I am currently setting up my new house and studio. It’s a long drive, but the contrast between the mountain silence and the city's hustle is the perfect way to wrap up this chapter of my travels.
