Описание к видео Teac X-1000R reel-reel reverse play back tape slipping off guidepost issue

After the last video I played the tape all the way to the end, played nicely and then I started playing in reverse. At the beginning the tape was contorting and slipping off the guidepost and pinch roller which is a problem as seen in the video. When this was happening I had the tape speed set slow which was wrong for that recording. I then select the faster tape speed and the tape played just fine without slipping off the guidepost and played back to the start no worries. Still I am not happy about what it did at the start of the reverse play, it kind of looks like it might be a back tension issue perhaps? Anyhow anyone in the comments below on what the issue might be would be most appreciated.
