Arma: Armed Assault (titled Arma: Combat Operations in North America) is a tactical shooter simulation video game developed by Bohemia Interactive and published by 505 Games in Europe, as well as Atari in North America for Microsoft Windows in 2006. Serving as the inaugural installment in the Arma series, it acts as a spiritual successor to the 2001 video game Operation Flashpoint: Cold War Crisis, also developed by Bohemia. The narrative unfolds on the fictional Atlantic island of Sahrani, depicting United States Armed Forces military advisors caught in the crossfire of a conflict between two rival nations on the island.
