If you want to start an export business from India, this is the first step...

You first want to identify the exact products, which are being exported in massive volumes from India right now.

It shows products with a ready demand outside, and with little effort you should be able to find enough buyers and sellers for the product so as to tip your toes into export by testing the waters.

The Ministry of Commerce & Industry has its website at commerce.gov.in where you can go to “Trade Statistics”...

Within this, you’ll find the option of “Latest Trade Figures”

This gives you updated data on the categories that got exported the most out of India in the last month with monetary values too.

For example, Carpets and Leather Goods are seemingly in extremely high demand right now.

India is anyway a perennial exporter of these items, but I’m certain they get a boost a few months before the winters set in.

Not just that, you can put filters for each country and find out exactly how much of which product was exported to it during which period.

Just this data is such a gold mine to identify opportunities.

Business is never easy, but it gets easier if you use data at every step.
