The ancient village of Baoliang, located in Chengmai County, Hainan Province, is over 300 years old. Baoliang Village is blessed with fertile selenium-rich red soil, but this blessing unfortunately failed to stop the exodus of the younger generation over the past few decades. Thus, Baoliang Village became a "hollow village".

Things have changed, however, in recent years. By developing ecofriendly experiential and rural tourism projects, Baoliang has begun attracting thousands of urban and international visitors each month, boosting the local economy. Here, visitors can immerse themselves in a genuine village lifestyle including tofu making, sugar cane harvesting, coffee bean roasting, camping, picking their own ripe, fresh fruit and vegetables, and more.
