This issue of ghost projects in the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has been ongoing since at least 2020. Even during the time of our late President Duterte, there were plans to investigate this problem. In fact, President Duterte ordered an audit of DPWH projects to identify and stop these ghost projects amid a massive corruption probe within the bureaucracy.

We are still thankful to President Bongbong Marcos for taking concrete steps to put an end to this corruption and to stop the fraudulent infrastructure projects in the Philippines. His leadership is crucial in addressing and resolving these longstanding issues in the DPWH.

I don't understand why some people are trying to shift all these issues onto our current President. He is the only one who is truly doing the right thing by investigating and stopping the corrupt activities within our government. Since others have not been performing their duties professionally, we are now suffering from problems like uncontrolled flooding and other infrastructure failures. It's time to hold the right people accountable and support efforts to improve our country's governance.
