Balance of payment records the transactions (of goods, invisibles and assets - physical as well as financial) between countries. It is recorded in the form of a balance sheet that has two components - current accounts and capital accounts. Transactions that result in outgo of foreign exchange are entered as debit and the one for which forex is received is entered as credit.
