The best FREE camping near Vancouver, BC // Epic mountain views - no hike required (Jones Lake)

This is the BEST free camping near Vancouver, BC! Epic mountain views, no hike required - but you will need a vehicle with 4x4 and high clearance to get up the access road, which is open from May 1st-October 31st. I've camped here many times and love how you can just drive up to these epic mountain views! Bring your canoe if you have one. (more info on location below)

On this trip, Ben and I drove up from Vancouver to do some car camping and take his cedar canoe out for a rip on the lake. We made a campfire, cooked delicious food, and filmed some incredible aerial video of the lake and surrounding mountain views. This is one of my favourite videos yet!

A beautiful destination in Canada: Wahleach Lake (commonly known as Jones Lake) is located in the Skagit Range in the Lower Mainland of British Columbia, Canada. East of the city of Chilliwack and Southwest of the town of Hope. It was originally used by the people of STO:LO First Nation as a stopover on their way to summer hunting grounds.
