Leonardo da Vinci was a famous Italian artist, inventor, and scientist. He was born on April 15, 1452, in a small village in Italy. Leonardo is known as a “Renaissance man” because he was skilled in many different areas.

As an artist, he painted some of the most famous works in history. His most well-known paintings are the Mona Lisa and The Last Supper. These artworks are still admired today for their beauty and detail.

Leonardo was also a brilliant inventor and thinker. He filled notebooks with drawings and ideas for machines, like flying devices, bridges, and weapons. Many of his inventions were never built, but they showed how creative and ahead of his time he was.

He studied the human body by dissecting cadavers. This helped him make more realistic art and also understand how the body works. His notes and drawings helped future scientists and doctors.

Leonardo da Vinci died in 1519, but his work still inspires people all over the world. He showed that art and science can work together. His curiosity and imagination made him one of the greatest minds in history.
