SYND 18 2 78 ARAB GUNMEN WITH HOSTAGES IN NICOSIA

(18 Feb 1978) The departure of arab gunmen from Cyprus after the murder of Egyptian advisor Mr Youssef el Sebai. Shocked delegates to the Afro-Asian conference in Nicosia are under heavy guard as the men who killed el Sabai make their getaway from Cyprus' Larnaca airport. The arabic-speaking gunmen, said to be Palestine extremists had burst into the conference and gunned down Mr el Sebai. The dead man was a close friend of President Anwar Sadat of Egypt and had accompanied the Egyptian leader to Jerusalem.
