Fried Momos | Veg Fried Momos | Crispy Momos | Fried Veg momos

Fried Veg Momos are a popular snack from Tibet, Bhutan, and Nepal. This delicious and crispy recipe is easy to prepare using refined flour and fresh vegetables. They're typically served with spicy Momo Chutney and creamy veg mayonnaise.

Ingredients:
Cabbage
Capsicum
Carrot
Onion
Kashmiri Red Chilli (powder or whole)
Black Pepper (½ tsp)
Green Chillies
Salt (to taste)
Multipurpose Flour (Maida)
Chaat Masala
Garlic (finely chopped)
Oil (for deep frying)

Method:
Prepare the Filling:
Finely chop cabbage, capsicum, carrot, and onion.
Add salt and let the mixture sit for a while to release excess moisture. Squeeze out the water.
Add chopped garlic, finely chopped green chillies, black pepper, and additional salt if needed.

Make the Dough:
In a bowl, take multipurpose flour (maida) and a pinch of salt.
Gradually add water and knead into a smooth dough.
Cover and let it rest for 15–20 minutes.

Shape the Momos:
Divide the dough into small balls and roll them into thin circles using a rolling pin.
Use a round cutter for even shapes (optional).
Place a spoonful of the filling in the center of each circle and fold into your desired momo shape.

Steam & Fry:
Grease a steamer basket and arrange the momos inside.
Steam for 4–5 minutes until they are partially cooked.
Deep fry the steamed momos until golden and crispy.

Serve:
Sprinkle with chaat masala for extra flavor.
Serve hot with spicy red chili momo chutney and veg mayonnaise (recipe coming soon!)
