Do You Have A Personal Education Plan

Have you ever looked at your paycheck and realized it hasn’t gone anywhere for awhile and you haven’t grown much?

Today, I’m going to show you how to grow personally and also grow your income.

Have you ever run into somebody that you went to high school with and found out they still have the exact same job? Maybe they are now the manager at Denny’s, but they still work at Denny’s? Not that there’s anything wrong with working at Denny’s, but the idea is that hopefully, however many years it’s been since high school, you have moved on. You have done something else. You have grown. You have blossomed and done something even greater than you were doing while you were in high school.

But if you haven’t grown and you recently looked at your paycheck and thought,

“Man, I haven’t really gone anywhere either and I would like to,”

then you need to develop something called a personal education plan.

A Personal Education Plan is where you control exactly what’s going on in your life in the next 12 months. In school they show you where to go, what to do, how to do it, and what you should be learning. As an adult, you are in charge of all of this yourself. You are the only person responsible if you are not actually learning and growing.

So, how do you handle this? I have a couple of recommendations for you:

#1: Put together a list of at least three books that you should read this year.

#2: Figure out what programs you want to attend.

What are the programs that would help you maximize your business knowledge, your skill, and your understanding of your industry.

#3: Figure out who the mentors are that you want to have around you.

Maybe they are people that are hard to reach now, but if you put a plan in place, you could actually get them around you.

Pay to spend some time with important people. Make sure that you have the right peer group around you that will actually help you grow and learn.

Make sure that even if you already have a pretty good business education plan in place for next year, you put an even better one in place. What is one more book you could read? What is one more person you could have in your life?
