STALKER 2 - NEW MASSIVE Patch Is Here! Big Buffs, Nerfs and Major Performance Fixes Updates

GSC Game World pushed out STALKER 2's 1.0 1 patch on November 29, bringing roughly 650 changes to the game primarily aimed at stability and addressing fan feedback on the game's economy. One of the major issues addressed by the patch is the cost of repairing weapons and armor, which was previously fairly steep given that item degradation is a core component of gameplay. Additionally, the rewards for quest completion (typically in the form of STALKER 2's currency, digital coupons) were increased, while the Rookie difficulty setting received buffs to player damage output and damage reduction. Of the 650 changes introduced in the patch, some of the more notable adjustments to STALKER 2 include:

Percentage reductions in weapon and armor degradation
Reduced cost of repairing weapons and armor
Increased quest rewards
Increased revenue from selling Artifacts
Armor and weapons receive buffs on Rookie difficulty
Mutant damage reduced on Rookie difficulty
Adding in missing sound effects
Fixing quest bugs related to item drops
Reduction of item weights
Along with some of these more notable fixes, there are dozens of other adjustments to help improve the game's stability and performance while also reducing audiovisual bugs. Perhaps most notably, crowded areas should no longer see significant performance drops or crashes due to insufficient memory.

STALKER 2's 1.0 2 Patch Tackles Quest Bugs and More
While the more significant changes to STALKER 2's balance, in-game economy, and performance were delivered courtesy of the 1.0 1 patch, GSC Game World quickly followed up Friday's fixes with a second patch just a day later on November 30. Patch 1.0 2 makes further corrections to some errors resulting from Patch 1.0 1 while also focusing specifically on 6 quests and their potential to result in game-breaking bugs limiting progression. In addition to the quest-specific adjustments arriving as part of Patch 1.0 2, there are several more fixes aimed at addressing the EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION errors players were receiving as a result of memory leaks. Taken as a whole, these two most recent patches should see STALKER 2 in a more improved state, with other patches and fixes already promised by GSC Game World in the coming weeks.
