Contra III is one of my favorite SNES games and has a special place in my heart. I was never able to beat the game on any higher difficulty than Easy when I was a kid. So I decided to play through it on Hard for fun and nostalgia.

It held up incredibly well, even compared to many modern games. Gameplay is fast and unforgiving, but not unfair, and the pacing of the game is a healthy mix of highs and lows.

No cheats, save states, or exploits were used in this run. Emulated on snes9x.
