Translation:
Rahul is in a strange situation. He is now in a dilemma — whether to take this job or continue his studies. His kith and kin all say, “Finish your studies,” but one of his friends, who is a real jack of all trades, says, “If you get a job at such a tender age, you may live fast.”
Rahul is thinking about it, but he still hasn’t made a decision. His friends say, “You don’t know the ins and outs of everything, that’s why you’re so confused. Sit with us and let’s discuss it in detail.”
Meanwhile, Rahul’s younger brother said on the morning of his exam, “I’ve got a fever” — but there was no sign of it. Rahul realized he was making a lame excuse. Later, their mother said, “Come, let’s make room in the living room, guests are coming.”
Rahul decided to sit with his friends and family and discuss the pros and cons of the situation before making a decision. Life isn’t all joy — it’s made of both weal and woe. Studies, hard work — these are the part and parcel of life.
But when he joined the meeting, he noticed one friend was playing a double game — saying one thing in front, something else behind. Meanwhile, his younger brother was pretending to study, but was actually gaming — as if playing hide and seek in real life.
Suddenly, one friend said to Rahul, “You always talk big, but disappear when it's time to act!” Rahul got angry and replied, “I always call a spade a spade — you people talk more than you work!”
Earlier, Rahul had once given a wrong answer in an exam due to a slip of the tongue, but now he realized there's no use crying over spilt milk. Still, he wants his future work to be up to the mark.
On his mother's birthday, they had a small celebration — it was truly a red-letter day. Later, Rahul’s brother, who accidentally ruined a gift, ended up being the scapegoat!
At the end of the day, Rahul thought — these relationships, the laughter and tears — those who stay with you through weal and woe are your real ones.
