Acciaccatura
A short grace note, typically notated with a slash through the stem or flag that is a non-harmonic note sounded at the same time as the primary harmonic note or notes and either quickly resolves to the main note or is immediately released. The effect is that of dissonant notes being "crushed" together. This is also known as a short appoggiatura or crushed note. This ornament was common in 18th and 19th century keyboard performance

This compilation of 15 singing lessons date back to the early 19th Century when it was popular to vocalise along with piano accompaniment. These exercises have been re-created with both English and Italian lyrics and available in keys suitable for High, Middle and Low voice ranges. These singing exercises are still used today in training the singing voice.

Singing exercises when done on a regular basis, will help strengthen, increase the flexibility and the range of your voice too. They will also help with your tone and resonance and placement of the sound

This particular exercise is for Low Voice, but please see our other videos for Low, Middle and Higher Voice Ranges if you think these are more suitable to your needs.
Low Voice – would be more suitable for Alto or Bass Voice Range
Middle Voice – would be more suitable for Mezzo or Baritone Voice Range
High Voice – would be more suitable for Soprano or Tenor Voice Range.
