In this module (course unit), students will learn about the factors that can invalidate or affect the validity of a contract, such as mistake, duress and undue influence, illegality, misrepresentation and frustration. They will also learn about the legal consequences and remedies for each of these factors, as well as some examples from Ugandan and other common law jurisdictions. By the end of the module, students will have a better understanding of how to avoid or deal with vitiating factors in contract law.
