Ford F-250 Highboy, 1972 Ford F-250 4x4 Highboy, Original Owner, Original Paint and No Rust.

I purchased this truck from the original owner. The truck was delivered in December of 1971. The truck has original paint, no rust and 117,000 actual miles. The truck was well-maintained by the owner. He bought it as a recreational vehicle for camping, traveling and pulling his boat. They put about 40,000 miles on the truck the first two years, after that they started using it less and less. Basically stopped using it in 2008 when he sold his boat and after that only drove it to town.
The owner advertised it on a classic car website last September or October. I communicated with him trying to negotiate a price. Then the ad ran out and finally agreed on a price in January 2024. When I got to his house I asked him how much interest he had in the truck and he told me I was the only person that contacted him about the truck.
I left Missouri on Thursday, February 1. Drove 2100 miles in three days to Hayfork California. I spent two nights on the road and arrived there Saturday, February 3 late evening and stayed three nights in their bunkhouse.  The man’s wife is a great cook!
I left for Missouri on Tuesday, February 6. It took me three days to get 1300 miles. I ran into snow in Salt Lake City Utah.
I finally arrived back in Missouri on Saturday, February 10. Spent four nights on the road.
