The assignment: Be a discreet and stylish woman. ✨

This is something I desire to understand and fully live out, by the grace of God.

It’s a goal. It’s a prayer. It’s something I study out. It goes wayyyy beyond clothes and it’s something Christ helps us all with when we ask. Not by our own strength or doing but by His changing power.

I’m not the standard for it, although I mention it often. I talk about it often because it’s an earnest desire of mine to be a wise and kind woman. I want to be beautiful from the inside out. So this assignment is something I take seriously and try to be intentional about even with my clothes - yet in a stylish way.

This verse frames my thinking:
📖 “A beautiful woman who lacks discretion is like a gold ring in a pig’s snout.” - Proverbs‬ ‭11:22‬

Here is a prayer for myself which you can pray too if you want:

Lord help me to be a beautiful woman with wisdom and discretion. Show me the areas of my heart where I have outward beauty or the appearance of being lovely but may not have the character to back it.

Father, please give me the grace to be a woman of great substance, character and knowledge of how to present myself in a way that is pleasing to You and kind for my neighbours.

Teach me Your way and heart towards discretion. I want this word to be used when when others think about me or describe me, because discretion is part of your character and nature, so it should be part of me too. Thank You for making it accessible and attainable for me. Thank you King.
