Описание к видео Wahweap Wash, UT Flash Flood Caught on Camera 7/15/2018

Flash flood and mini-debris caught on camera flow up close in Wahweap Wash just outside of Big Water, Utah on July 15, 2018! Notice the pine cones and other debris from the higher elevation terrain, 25 miles north from where this flood originated.

The Wahweap Hoodoos is a popular hiking destination and the name of a beautiful rock formation in Big Water, Utah, that’s anywhere from 100-160 million years old. The white hoodoos are created from the erosion of Dakota sandstone, as well as Entrada Sandstone. The trail, however, is known to be remote and is prone to occasionally flash flooding. While there is usually higher ground that can be accessed, it’s best to be safe and watch the weather report, as flash floods can be dangerous as they move quickly!
