In 2015 CNN viewers voted Taiwan the number one food destination in the world. Absolutely no surprise in my opinion, having travelled extensively in Asia where the food is amazing, incredibly varied in every which way, and in many cases cheap-affordable to almost everyone. Eating in Taiwan is like traveling at light-speed through the many regions of China and sampling everything in a matter of a few days. Throw in Japanese and aboriginal food and you've got minimally, one of the best food destinations on the planet.
I met my friend Bruno Black, a travelblogger, at the international Taiwanese dessert chain Meet Fresh to sample a couple of classic snacks or desserts. I'm crazy about the grass jelly dessert I had in the video and I've always loved douhua, tofu pudding, ever since the first time I tried it 5 years ago.
