Where does your car go when it dies? Hearing from people who’ve owned cars, driven cars and written off cars, this sensitive film casts it’s lens over a scrapyard in Devon where cars are piled on top of one another and parts are stacked away in a leaky, ghostly, cobwebbed garage. With recycling becoming a bigger and bigger issue, the last refuge of automobiles comes into focus as we fill the roads with new cars and attempt to keep landfill unfilled. How attached are we to our cars and what happens when the vehicle that once got us around just stops?

Filmmakers Aged 15-19

Fresh Docs was a partnership between Into Film and Picturehouse Cinemas. Across seven of their cinema sites, Picturehouse delivered a series of documentary workshops for young people aged 15 to 19 that met Into Film’s guiding principles of See, Think, Make. Imagine. Young people were able to watch and engage with a wide variety of documentaries and were inspired to create their own short documentaries.

Supported by the British Film Institute, Into Film is the UK's film learning programme for 5-19 year olds, encouraging and enabling watching, making and critical understanding of film.
