Merck Foundation meets the president of the republic of Burundi, H.E. Pierre Nkurunziza to discuss their long term partnership to build healthcare capacity in the country in the fields of diabetes , cancer , hypertension and fertility care.

Merck foundation launched their programs with special focus on Merck more than a Mother and Merck cancer access programs as well as their first Health media training in partnership with H.E. Madam Denise Nkurunziza, First Lady of Burundi and ministries of health and information.
Merck foundation awarded the great efforts and dedication of Burundi’s First Lady to empower infertile women as ambassador of Merck more than a Mother in the country.

Merck foundation has provided in partnership with the First Lady of Burundi and Ministries of Health and communication the first Health media training to enable media representatives to sensitize their communities with the aim to break the stigma of infertility and empower infertile women and couples.

Both Dr Rasha Kelej CEO Of Merck Foundation and president of Merck more than a Mother and The First Lady of Burundi addressed the media representative during the training emphasizing their critical role to break the stigma of infertility in Burundi and across Africa.
