This video demonstrates dropping ONE antacid tablet broken into four pieces into 50 mL of water in a Ziplock bag.
To correctly time the length it takes for the reaction to complete, students should begin timing when the tablet pieces are placed in the water and stop when the reaction is complete.
Students should also pay attention to how quickly or slowly the reaction happens.
