How to create mp3 audiobooks with chapter points on Windows using foobar2000?
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1. Make sure that your audiobook files are properly tagged.
(eg. with mp3tag, https://www.mp3tag.de/download.html)
All files that belong to the same audiobook must have the same ALBUM tag!

2. Use foobar2000 to convert your files to mp3.
Use MP3 (LAME) as codec and "Generate multi-track-files" as output style.

3. Download Audiobook Chapter Maker and extract the zip file.

4. Copy the mp3 and cue file(s) that were created by foobar2000
to the input folder in the Audiobook Chapter Maker directory,
run the batch script "_Audiobook Chapter Maker.bat" and choose option 2.
This will add chapter information to all mp3 files in the input directory.
You will find the finished files in the output directory.

1. Download Audiobook Chapter Maker and extract the zip file.

2. Copy the mp3 file(s) you want to add chapters to
into the input folder in the Audiobook Chapter Maker directory.

3. For every mp3 you need to create a text file with the same filename as the mp3
and the file extension .chapters.txt.

Example:
audiobook1.mp3
audiobook1.chapters.txt
audiobook2.mp3
audiobook2.chapters.txt

4. Add the timestamp (hh:mm:ss.ccc) and chapter name of the chapters to the text file(s).
The content of your text file has to look like this:
00:00:00.000 Chapter 1
00:05:56.740 Another Chapter

5. Run the batch script "_Audiobook Chapter Maker.bat" and choose option 3.
This will add chapter information to all mp3 files in the input directory.
You will find the finished files in the output directory.

How to remove all chapters from mp3 files on Windows?

1. Download Audiobook Chapter Maker and extract the zip file.

2. Copy the mp3 file(s) you want to remove the chapters from
into the input folder in the Audiobook Chapter Maker directory.

3. Run the batch script "_Audiobook Chapter Maker.bat" and choose option 4.
This will remove all chapters from every mp3 file in the input directory.
You will find the finished files in the output directory.

4. Copy the mp4/m4a file(s) you created with foobar2000

All files in the input directory with the file extensions m4a and mp4
will be convert to m4b audiobook files.
You will find the finished files in the output directory.
