Описание к видео Testing my

In this progressive turns session I rode my handshaped 6'4 longboard shortboard hybrid board. With futures fins AM1 front side fins in medium and ebay elcheapo quad rears.

The board was made with repurposed construction styrafoam.

The surfboard studio 4oz cloth (3 layers on the deck, 2 on the bottom): https://www.thesurfboardstudio.com.au/

Premium Eco Epoxy resin

Futures fin boxes

Diy leash plug

The board features:
Single to double concave
Deck concaves mimicking worn in short board foot wells
Down rails
Ryan Burch inspired sidecut
Longboard nose for noseriding and glide
Narrow rounded squash tail

The dimensions are unknown but it is approximately 6 foot 4 in length about 22 wide and 2.6 inch thick. Inspired by the surfing and boards by Corey Colapinto and Harley Ingleby.

The board suits surfers who are pushing the intermediate level, getting back into surfing, or just want to surf fast, paddle easy and have a reliable all rounder in their quiver.

Making a board is not easy but this one is a damn sight better than the first board I made start to finish. Both do what I intended them to do which is what it is all about.

Here are the steps:
Plane the block of foam with an electric planer to thickness and rocker profile of your liking.
Get a template from blending curves or use an outline from an existing board.
Draw the outline and cut it out with a jigsaw or handsaw
Shape the board
Lay on 2 layers of fibreglass cloth on the bottom of the clean dust free shaped board and cut the cloth around the board leaving a little overhang.
Mix resin and colours if you wish
Pour into the bottom of the board on the fibreglass letting the cloth soak and bind to the board starting in the middle and going outboards.
Lap sides, and pierce air bubbles
let cure and do the other side 24 hours later
repeat on the top side of the board after laying more fibreglass. Go for at least 2 layers on top I prefer 3.
Sand the board 48 hours later ensuring you do it carefully with a range of sandpaper grits.
Mix more resin and pour onto board again on the bottom
24 hours later again on the top
Final sand (higher grit).
Add fin boxes and plugs
Sand excess resin
Spray paint and clear coat if you like
Put in fins wax up and go surf
