Nea Kalikratia se nalazi na 30 kilometara udaljenosti od Soluna, sa kojim je povezano redovnom autobuskom linijom. Nea Kalikratia je odlično mesto za odmor. Preko dana možete uživati na divnoj plaži i toploj vodi, a uveče u brojnim lepo uređenim tavernama, barovima i restoranima.
Grad je podeljen je na dva dela: dela u kome žive njegovi stalni stanovnici i dela uz plažu, koji je u posvećen turistima.
Na samom šetalištu nalaze se i odlično snabdevene pekare, mesare, poslastičarnice, taverne, kafići i brojne prodavnice. Svakog utorka u mestu je organizovana pijaca, na kojoj možete, po povoljnim cenama kupiti voće, povrće, ali i druge namirnice ( sir, mleko, jaja, garderobu, itd).
