Replacing Toyota Fortuner ATF and ATF Strainer

Описание к видео Replacing Toyota Fortuner ATF and ATF Strainer

Automatic transmission fluid (ATF) is a kind of transmission fluid used in vehicles with self-shifting or automatic transmissions. It is typically coloured red or green to distinguish it from motor oil and other fluids in the vehicle.

It’s also relatively easy to determine when your ATF may be low or need to be replaced. Consider an automatic transmission service if you detect the following signs of low transmission fluid:

- Transmission slips
- Transmission shifts roughly
- Noisy transmission
- No drive engagement in forward or reverse gears

Here are the steps in checking your Automatic Transmission Fluid level.

1. Pull out the dipstick. Put the car in Neutral or Park with the braking on, and keep the car running. You’ll want to make sure the engine is warm when you pull the dipstick out.

2. Check the fluid. The transmission fluid on the dipstick should be bright red and almost clear. If it looks or smells burnt, or if it has particles in it, then the fluid will need to be changed.

3. Wipe the dipstick with a clean rag, reinsert it, and pull it out again. If the fluid is completely clear but doesn’t reach the Full line on the dipstick, then more fluid will need to be added.

( make sure the engine is warm, and we are going to look for the hot markings in the dipstick, it should be in between the hot markings, above the below marking, exactly in the hot full marking or a little bit below the hot full marking.)

I used 6 Liters in changing the Toyota Fortuner ATF

BTW, ATF can also use as a Power Steering fluid for our Fortuner 😉

God bless everyone 🙏
