Derivation:
From second equation of motion we have,
s = ut + ½ at²
i.e., s = u [(v-u)/a] + ½ a[(v-u)/a]² [ Since, v = u + at ⟹ t = (v-u)/a ]
i.e., s = (uv - u² )/(a ) + a (v² + u² - 2uv) /2a²
i.e., s = (2uv – 2u² + v² + u² - 2uv )/2a
i.e., 2as = v² - u²
i.e., v² = u² + 2as
