Описание к видео Ford F-150 - INSTRUMENT CLUSTER REMOVAL / REPLACEMENT (2004-2008)

Video on how to replace / remove / change speedometer on Ford F150 truck ( 2004 | 2005 | 2006 | 2007 | 2008 | XL | XLT | LARIAT | 5.4 | SUPERCREW | CREW CAB | EXTENDED CAB | REGULAR CAB ).

Istrument cluster panel and odometer often fail on Ford F-150 trucks. It is a common problem on eleventh generation of F-150's. Either screen goes blank or different warning lights keep popping on the cluster. It is an easy fix once you remove the instrument cluster. Usually there is couple of loose connections on the motherboard which can be soldered and fixed. Other option is to replace the instrument cluster either with a used one or a new one and then have it programmed to match the existing mileage.

Definitely cheaper option is to have the cluster fixed.

To remove the instrument cluster from your Ford F150, first you have to pop up two plastic trim pieces. Bottom one is held by two 7mm screws at the bottom and two plastic clips on the top. Top trim piece is also held by two 7mm screws at the bottom and three plastic clips on the top. Once those pieces are off the way, you can remove four 7mm screws which are actually holding the speedometer in place. Disconnect 2 connectors on the top and remove the instrument cluster. Make sure to disconnect the battery before starting this project.
