A young boy broke his front teeth and went to the dentist to have his broken tooth fixed. The dentist used orthodontic treatment with braces to move the remaining teeth so it was ready to be restored. Once the orthodontic treatment was complete, the dentist sent the young boy to the dental lab to have his tooth shade matched for his new replacement tooth. Several materials were selected and tried in the mouth to determine the best fit for tooth shade match. Once the dentist identified the best tooth for shade match, the young boy returned to the dental lab for final shade match of the tooth that was fabricated at the dental lab out of a dental material called zirconia.
