Jeff Lynne's Efficient Method of Production

Описание к видео Jeff Lynne's Efficient Method of Production

Jeff Lynne is one of the most iconic producers of all time. Jeff has produced multiple records for Tom Petty including Into the Great Wide Open and Full Moon Fever. He was also a part of the supergroup The Traveling Wilburys and had his own Band Electric Light Orchestra. It seems like everything that Jeff touches turns to gold, but why?

Jeff Lynne has a method of producing music that is incredibly efficient and obviously effective. Rick Rubin and Mike Campbell are in conversation discussing some of the magic tricks that Jeff Lynne used on Full Moon Fever. Jeff would start with the most simple drum pattern programmed with a drum machine and he would record all rhythm parts after to get the fastest results. Mike Campbell recalls that the song Free Fallin by Tom Petty was done in just hours. Pretty incredible for a song that definitely stands the test of time.
