Tame & Controlled Sound. The MAC Axle-back for 2015-2017 S550 EcoBoost Mustang is a perfect option for owners looking to downplay the sound of the exhaust coming off that stock super charged 4 cylinder engine. This option is on the quieter side of the aftermarket exhaust spectrum but is still going to be louder and deeper than stock. The chambered mufflers featured in this system open up the exhaust flow as well as reduce back pressure.
Built to Last. The construction of the MAC axle-backs is highlighted by their use of 304 Stainless Steel. With considerably more corrosion resistance than aluminum, these pipes will stand the test of time. The system is manually bent, with 4 inch polished stainless steel tips. It is shorter than other options and the picky buyer might want to look into purchasing clamps separately, but compared to pricier high end exhausts, MAC offers the greatest bang for your buck.
Cut & Clamp. Like all Axle-back installs, this will require some cutting. Because this system is on the shorter side, you'll be making your cut further up, past the factory mid-pipe. Just be sure to measure twice and cut once, and always wear eye protection! After making your cuts, loose fit everything to your liking before clamping into their final positions. A lift will make this job a bit easier but can still be done on a jack. 2 hours of your time should be enough to wrap this project up.
