Gary D Lloyd: The Latin Lounge Lizard

Everything about this video was an exploration. I used all of the seven chords that I have been teaching lately. So the music is instructional. It's like an etude.But I wanted to do something a bit jazzy. So it swings. And it definitely has a Latin feel.

I'm not sure what kind of music it is. It's obviously not a cha cha. It's not really a tango. With the swing feel I'm not sure what it is. My favorite for suggesting names for my compositions, Maya, was not around to give me a suggestion for the title.A friend of mine said that the ending once again sounds like I am in a jazz lounge. That immediately made me think of a lounge lizard.

And when I put that idea into the AI program for pictures, what it came up with just made me smile. That's how I picked the name.I hope some of my students asked to play this. It was really fun to write! :)
