Inters of landscape, the place is one of the best recreation spots in Bangladesh. However, due to poor facilities from the Tourism Department, this place is most receiving the number of tourists it should be. An indigenous community resides at this place. You will meet some of them. Most of them are good soulsGajni is a natural eco-resort situated in Jinaigati Upazila of Sherpur District of Bangladesh which is very close to Indian border and famous for the Garo hill. Garo hill is a beautiful picnic sport of Bangladesh. A three storied bungalow to take rest with friends and family. And in front of the bungalow there is a beautiful.It has great view with some of its hillocks which are very beautiful with their beauty. There is a watch-tower to see the beauty of nature. It is nearly 30km from the Sherpur Sadar. The scenes of the both sides of the roads leading to Gojni is excellent. You will have a relaxing journey. You have to go through the forest. This is the best part of the journey. The lake in the place is very beautiful. There is an observation tower. From there you can have a good view of the adjacent area. There is a small Zoo at this place as well. The Garo indigenous people sell their traditional hand-loom products at a very cheap price.
In short, you will spend a good day with the forest, hills, lakes, and birds. If you go to nearest Modhutila Eco Park is at Nalitabari, Sherpur. Here nature preserved on it's own way. Distance from Dhaka: 199 km
Modhutila Eco Park is also situated in the border. In the Indian part, Tura hill is situated in the same place. It is in Jhinaigati Thana of Sherpur. It takes 30 mins to reach there from Sherpur. This is a nice place with lots of species of trees and animals. After visiting Gazni, you should visit Modhutila as you go to Sherpur. Visitor can see there Meghlay, plants, animals, waterfall, lake etc. Best time to travel is in the rainy season. Anyone can feel like heaven in a rainy day at here.Gojni picnic sport is a natural eco-resort situated in Jinaigati Upazila of Sherpur District of Bangladesh which is very close to Indian border and famous for the Garo hill. A three-storied bungalow to take rest with friends and family. And in front of the bungalow, there is a beautiful ground with a permanent dias where cultural programs take place. Under the hill there is a small zoo and a lot of local restaurants to have food. We enjoyed the whole day with friends and family. Kids played and roam around the natural forest area. Various shops also selling local products made by indigenous people. A watch tower is available to observe the natural beauty. I recommend the place for nature and forest lovers. Transport facility: By bus Mohakhali bus terminal to jhanaigati every 2 hours a bus left. Then by CNG to Modhutila. It takes approximately 6hours. By train Dhaka to Mymensingh and then by bus towards jhanaigati which takes approximately 6hours.
