My desire to start Creatography was born out of the craving to bring a fresh, creative approach to wedding photography. I approach weddings from a number of perspectives. Firstly, there is the traditional coverage. The photos of all your guests, the bridal party, Mum and Dad, the preparations, portraits of you. Your wedding is about tradition - I understand how important this for you, so I shoot from a photojournalistic standpoint. I love the casual, natural and un-posed images, as I feel the best photographs are often made when you not aware of the camera. I have a relaxed, unobtrusive, hands-off approach and strive to provide documentary coverage of your wedding.

Within that traditional coverage, I am always looking for those special, emotional moments. These are the moments that in 20 years time, when you open up your wedding album, you can look at a photograph and say to yourself I remember what I was feeling in that moment, I remember what I was thinking right there, I want you to be able to re-live it like it was yesterday. It’s those moments that tell the real story of your wedding day. It’s those moments that make your wedding different to everyone else’s and completely unique to you.

And finally, I like to throw caution to the wind and break some of the conventional photography rules. I love creating some edgy, quirky, left of center photographs. I love pushing past vanilla, and going all out for that unconventional angle, that alternative thought provoking composition. My aim is to provide you fresh, creative photographs.

I always make sure we have fun on your wedding day. Most people don’t enjoy being photographed, you feel self-conscious so you put up a facade. My role as a wedding photographer is to connect with people, get them to relax, feel comfortable, enjoy themselves and show me their true personalities. That gives me the ideal opportunity to create authentic and candid portraits for you and your family. I do this by having an understated style of communication and a minimalist approach. On your wedding day, I blend in because I am unobtrusive and invisible in the way I interact with you and your guests.
