Swiss Bicycling: Gottschalkenberg 4K

Описание к видео Swiss Bicycling: Gottschalkenberg 4K

If you want to see the sun in Fall and Winter, you just need to go higher up in elevation, is the common understanding in Switzerland. In this ride, you will experience first-hand how it feels to go from basking in the sun to being submerged in fog within seconds. Our ride starts out in the town of Oberaegeri, on the shores of the Aegeri Lake in Central Switzerland in sunny conditions. We follow the Gulmstrasse, a small local road without traffic, higher and higher with occasional views of the Aegeri Lake and the Wildspitz mountain on its far shores. We finally reach the Ratenpass and cross the main road to get into the Goldschalken area. Usually there would be views of the Zurich Lake but not today. Today we are looking at a fluffy bed of clouds covering the lower elevations of Central Switzerland, not uncommon in the Fall season. We dive into the clouds as we descent on the North side of the Gottschalkenberg and after a ghostly ride past pastures and orchards, we conclude our ride next to the church in Menzingen.
