This circuit turns on and off LED lights with a simple touch of your finger. If you need to control AC Electronic and Electrical appliances like lights, Fan, AC etc. with touch, you can use modified version of this circuit by adding relay at the output.

The 555 timer in bistable mode is also known as a flip-flop circuit. A flip-flop circuit alternates between two stable states, in this case the output of electrical current from the output pin. Unlike the monostable mode and astable modes, bistable mode doesn’t need a resistor and capacitor to set the timing of the circuit. In fact there is no timing in this circuit. There are only two stable states (on and off) controlled directly by the trigger pin (2) and Threshold pin(6).

Components Required:
1. IC 555 Timer
2. Resistor 200k x2
3. LED
4. Diode IN4007
5. 9 Volt Power Supply
6. Touch Plates (or loose wires)
7. 6 volt Relay
8. Transistor BC 547 NPN
