This video illustrates a complete eye damage and eye lid injury treated with artificial eye fitting. The patient is a female, named Priya who had a road accident in Mumbai. The patient lost the right eye and the right eye lid was completely damaged. The patient is treated by Dr. Debraj facial plastic Surgeon at Saifee Hospital and Apollo Spectra Hospital in Mumbai, India.

A CT SCAN is done on the patient that shows a complete avulsion of the right eye. Dr. Debraj performs Myoconjuctival Enucleation (eye removal) because the eye is completely destroyed and can’t be fixed. An artificial ball implant was inserted to create eye’s shape and the right eye lid was completely reconstructed as well. A custom made artificial eye was fitted. The video shows the patient after 6 weeks of surgery with an artificial eye. Dr. Debraj states that every patient can wear Prosthesis (Artificial Eye or false eye) in comfort, with best Cosmesis, eye movements and completely look normal.
