AMS dmx 15-80 being used in 'Loc' mode. Possibly the first ever commercial sampler being used to edit and play some drums. This made tracks like Paul Hardcastle's Nineteen possible and was many recording engineers' introduction to drum replacement. Whole kits could have their sounds replaced or augmented albeit quite painstakingly. The audio input doubles as a trigger input in this mode.
