In the Shadow of the Diable – A Shralpinism Story From Chamonix

Deep in Chamonix’s backcountry, an imposing series of granite pinnacles rises to the southeast of Mont Blanc du Tacul. Named the Aiguilles du Diable – the Devil’s Needles – they were once considered impossible to climb, let alone ride.

Now, Jones Pro Team rider Pica Herry, joined by Laurent Bibollet, Victor de Le Rue and more, splitboard into the zone and ride lines that push Shralpinism to its limit.

In an environment that carries no margin for error, In the Shadow of the Diable explores snowboarding’s relationship with risk, adventure, and what draws us back to the mountains.
