This video shows how to update Android on the Lenovo Moto G4 and G4 Plus phones to version 8.1 (Oreo) using Lenovo Moto Smart Assistant (LMSA) software.
The Moto G4 phones came to market in 2016 with either Android 6 or 7. Lenovo released Android 8.1 for the Moto G4 phones in February 2019. The update was supposed to be pushed to all users. For some reason, the automatic update did not happen for many phones. The Android update can be done by the user with the LMSA software. This is a step by step "how to" video. It is fairly detailed and intended for the average user. More advanced users my want to skip through parts of it. There are several YouTube videos on this topic, but they all seem to come from India. I could not find one in North American English, so I made this one.
