Toad the Wet Sprocket is first known to have played "Torn" when they were on tour with Michael Penn in the spring of 1990. The song was included in many shows through 1995 before being performed sparingly for many years. "Torn" experienced a rebirth when Toad began to include it in many live setlists from 2010-15. It has been played rarely since 2016, but was played twice in in 2021 (giving some hope that the song may be included in future tours). This performance of "Torn" was recorded at the Terrace in Austin, TX on May 30th, 1995 at a time when it was commonly heard at Toad shows.
