This is a radical departure from the traditional box concept of the symphonie. The idea was to minimise the noise cancelling effect of internal parallel faces.
The soundboard only goes as far as the wheel and vibrations are transmitted to a cambered spruce back.
There are curved reflectors fitted at each end to further direct the sound.
Various disconnectors are fitted and a dual string capo to allow full control without lifting the lid.
The sound may be too loud for some but the extra power and tone works for me !
