When you're being served with a lawsuit, most people say that you shouldn't answer the door.

The reasoning behind this view is that maybe they will go away and you won't have to deal with the lawsuit.

This is a false idea.

You should answer the door, take the papers from the process server, and push through this lawsuit.

Generally, we can turn this negative situation into a positive one.
