An arcade light gun game with a futuristic theme from independent developer Friction Game Studios (2011).

In Friction, Players faced off against 3 stages of gun battles with terrorists, followed by 3 transformable mech bosses. The entire game consists of warehouse and tunnel like environments.

The boss characters share a striking resemblance to the classic Transformers series, even playing similar sound effects to those heard from the original Transformers TV series.

There's also mid-tier bosses, including a humanoid mech who charges at you armed with a giant turret; as well as a ground roaming mech that transforms into a missile launcher. The humanoid mech can easily be defeated before it ever fires if you target its head.

While players start off the game with a standard pistol, there are also numerous weapons upgrades; including a machine gun, rocket launcher, and shotgun, as well as health packs.

While the game provides unlimited ammo for the pistol, the alternate weapons have limited ammo; which can be replenished by blowing up crates, barrels, and other objects scattered throughout the game.

While there isn't much in the way of obstacles in the game, there is one scene where players must destroyed a wall with spikes sticking out of it before they're crushed.

When the enemies in the game are defeated, they split apart into giant robotic scraps with electrical sparks shooting wildly through the air.

The game was said to be an arcade exclusive, with developers having no plans to port it to consoles.
